Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Marca iOS application (“the app”), published by Adaba Studio (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Marca, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The app

Marca is a personal reading-habit app that lets you track books, log reading sessions, set goals, save quotes, and build reading streaks. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service and these Terms.

2. Marca+ subscriptions

Some features are offered through an optional auto-renewable subscription, “Marca+”. The following applies to all subscriptions:

• Subscriptions are offered as monthly or yearly plans, with pricing shown in the app before purchase. A free trial may be offered; pricing and trial length are displayed at the point of sale and may vary by region.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

All purchases are handled by Apple and are also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app only for lawful, personal purposes, and not to attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the app or its supporting services.

4. Your content

Any content you create in the app (books, notes, quotes, goals) is yours. It is stored on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for any content you enter.

5. Third-party content

Book metadata and cover images are provided by third-party sources, including Open Library. This information is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or availability.

6. Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any third-party data will always be available.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Adaba Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the app.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, except where local consumer-protection law grants you additional rights.
