Terms of Use

Davinyl · Last updated 11 October 2026

These terms cover your use of Davinyl, an iPhone app made by Adaba Studio ("we"). By using Davinyl you agree to them. If you do not, please delete the app.

What Davinyl is

Davinyl is a companion app for managing a vinyl record collection. It works with Discogs, which supplies the record database and the price information. Davinyl is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discogs. A free Discogs account is required.

Free and Premium

Davinyl is free to download. The free tier includes a daily allowance of record scans with their Discogs price, the duplicate check across your entire collection on every scan, browsing your most recent records, one full valuation of your collection, the daily record pick, and a free JSON export of your data. Davinyl Premium unlocks unlimited scans, unlimited browsing, value history and the chart, your most valuable records, re-valuing on demand, and sorting by value. The exact limits are shown in the app under Settings → Your plan.

Subscriptions and payment

Your data

Your collection is stored on your device, and changes you make to your collection are written back to your Discogs account. You are responsible for what you add to and remove from Discogs through Davinyl. You can export a full copy of your data at any time, for free, from Settings. See our Privacy Policy for what leaves your device.

Valuations are estimates

Values shown in Davinyl are derived from Discogs marketplace data and are estimates, not appraisals. They depend on condition, which Davinyl assumes to be VG+ unless you set it, and they change as the market changes. Do not rely on them for insurance, sale, or tax purposes without independent verification.

Acceptable use

Use Davinyl for its intended purpose and within the terms of your Discogs account. Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the app or the services it depends on.

Availability

Davinyl depends on Discogs for search, import and pricing. If Discogs is unavailable or changes its service, parts of Davinyl may stop working. The app is designed to keep showing your collection offline regardless.

Disclaimer and liability

Davinyl is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data or lost value, arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes, and the date above will change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
